As a life long believer of Holistic healing and living, I have dedicated my life's work to the care, protection and preservation of families; in particular women and children. A wife and mother of four, I fundamentally understand the importance of self care and the delicate balance between prioritizing family values and personal goals. Before making the decision to pursue the wondrous career of Midwifery, I had a precipitous birth in an ambulance with my first child. It was the most enlightening and empowering experience I'd had. It showed me the full extent of my will power and that I could tap into it whenever needed. This experience also led to a 20+ year journey of self discovery and growth. All of which I openly share and encourage my clients to engage in. I hold a Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology from Florida A. and M. University, Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree from Texas Woman's University and Master's of Science in Nursing degree, Nurse-Midwifery from Texas Tech University. Each educational experience afforded me great affiliations and knowledge to contribute to my local community. As a Certified Nurse-Midwife I am trained to provide care for women throughout the lifespan; and I specialize in Out of Hospital births. Our clinic offers: Well woman exam Screening for breast cancer, HPV testing and cervical cancer screening Screening and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), vaginal infections and vulvar disorders Family planning options, including alternative and Western modalities such as Wild yam, long term reversible methods (IUD) and subdermal implants Menopause treatment which may include lifestyle changes, dietary changes and hormone replacement therapies Infertility consultation including initial workup, evaluation and management or Referral to infertility specialists when needed
